I have an 84 302 that started running hot. I noticed this one day while driving on the interstate. I have flushed the radiator, changed the thermostat back to factory spec, and changed the radiator cap. Still running around the "a" on normal, and now my gas mileage is in the toilet. Also not losing any coolant. Could it be the catalytic converter? I'm at a lost on what to do next. Thanks

You might chek that the fan clutch is working properly. Watch it when you have a bud turn off the motor, and see if it turns more than 3-4 times around. also, check for play or slack in the fan while the motor is off. JSM84
