I bought my 94 Bronco in Maryland 2 years ago, the previous owner put 17'' rims on it with no other suspension modifications. The tires had no visable wear on them. The right rear over the past year has worn considerbly more then the rest of the tires, I have a pull to the right, and i've had an alingment done once, I hit no potholes, did'nt go off-road, but over time the steering started pulling to the right again. I'm new to NC and have asked countless mechanics about the problem, and all I get is different answers. Has anyone had this same problem, my ball joints and tie rod ends are fine, I plan to change the auto hubs to warn manuals,(also a shake from 45 to 55mph I'm positive its the crap autohubs) and my left radius arm bushing is in need of replacement, will any of that help with the problem, Help!

Was the truck ever struck in the rear.?

Does it 'chine' or 'dog-walk' ...? Meaning the back isn't following the front. (you can check/see this by following with another veh.)

Did they, in fact, check the alignment on the rear...?

The above comments are refering to the RR tire wear.

Where did that bad tire end up..?

A seperated tire will shake the front.... or cheap tires in general. I doubt it's the hubs unless there's a bad bearing.

"-----and all I get is different answers-----"

Well, what were they..? Did I give you some of the same..?

The tire is on the front right now, but it seems that the one on the RR is still wearing faster. The tires are bridgestone D840 265/65R17 the left side wears fine maybe even a little slow, the car fax had no history of colision and the frame shows no sign of work. The previous owner replaced the right radius arm bushing, and i have noticed the left one is shreading apart. I've been told it could be the RR leaf spring, not having a limited slip, and a bad tire. The hubs were more for the shake I know there not the reason for tire wear, but I was wondering if a bad power steering pump would cause that vibration. The wheels have been balanced but the vibration still is consitent with speed from 45-55. I did not have a 4 wheel alignment, just front.

"-----been told it could be the RR leaf spring---"

There would be some real obvious damage, or sag in the RR

"----not having a limited slip---"

Now that's is REALLY out there....!

"----bad tire(s)---"

I've had this happen, causing a pull.

"-- bad power steering pump would cause that vibration?--"

Not really, vib. yes.....front-end shake, No.

Did it shake B/4 the worn tire was put on the front..?

You know now that i think about it, it did happen when the worn one was put on the front. I'm going to get new tires, and a 4 wheel alignment, and hope that does the trick, hopefully the balance and new tires will take care of the vibration. Could anything with the brake caliper cause the vibration? I had those along with my rotors replaced about 5,000 miles ago. The caliper is making a click noise when the brake is released, and a knocking noise that only occurs when I don't hit the brakes, but when I brake it will stop. Sort of consitent with the revolution of the wheel, that is what made me believe it was the hub.
