ok so i just got my driveshaft rebuilt, and they did a beautiful job. so i put it in, and go to drive it, and the first day it does amazing. then the second day i go to drive it, and at the bottom of my driveway there is a slight bump. so i am backing out, and as soon as i hit the bump i hear a clicking noise coming from the driveshaft area. did i not put enough greese on the u joints or something?

The shop normally services the slip & u-joints prior to delivery. (if not, stranger things have happened) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If you greased the (2 end) joints prior to installation, it can push/hydraulic the caps away fr. their seat.

Give a look & be sure those caps were seated all the way in place prior to lock-down. They need to drop down in below the notch.

If you pulled the caps off....it's poss. for a needle bearing to drop...this will stop it fr. seating.

If you're close to the shop...they will insp. it for you. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

OR

It could be something un-related to the shaft..?

You could "safely" get the rear wheels off the ground & give a listen... b-(
