Removing tail gate heat strip

Hey guys, I'm trying to take replace the tail gate on my 90, I've got the new shell, manuel and everything else, just one problem: all of the instructions I have don't include the removal of my heat strip wiring! There is no place to just disconnect them. I'm at a loss. Any Ideas?

Okay, scratch that. We wound up cutting off some of the crappy attachment dealios, but now theres that *** lock mech. box that attaches to the wires, and more wires, which is keeping me from clearing the wires from the old shell.

Grr.

Is this making sense?

I'm pretty sure the bronc is getting mad at me, and death by bronco wires isn't exactly what I had in mind.

After an hour or so of searching, I found an awesome article all about this. Juct a C clip, ect.
