rear locker help

Hi guys.. Im im the market for a locker for my 8.8 in the rear. i dont have a lot of $ and was looking for something in the 250 to $350 range. A buddy of mine said something about a "powertrax" locker and lockright lockers. He said I can put one of those in in about 2 hrs. and that I dont have to pull the carrier out. I have to replaced my sidegears and spiders and while im in there i was going to replaced the clutch packs and steels, the pinion shaft and that dam s spring for LSD. He said by the time I buy all these parts, I should spend a little more and get a locker. I do go wheeling alot and dont really put that many miles on the road, less than 200 a month. I cant afford a ARB, Detroit or Eaton so I know pickings are slim out there. Any feedback will help. Thanks

The powertrax locker will be the easiest and cheapest, it takes place of the spider gears so dont go run out and buy them quite yet. The only problem will be finding someone who sells it. I tryed to get one for my last Bronco and couldnt find one anywhere. You may have better luck where you are but I didnt.

or you can spool it and the lock all the time ... 189.00 but it KILLZ your tires i mean killz them cause it doesnt let up when you turn one way or the other ... i did it and it goes good in the mudd but not so much in the snow ... hey just an opnion and for less money you really cant beat them but dont get a mini spool the break real easy

I would say that if you are going to see any snow be very careful with any upgraded locker. I was told this and didn't thinkit was that big of a deal till my truck met a Tree ( but it is fixed now after a full year without my baby.
