Have a question for all you bronco masterminds out there!!! about converting 95 XLT rear brakes to discs is this a fairly easy to do job is it well worth it and may be a good place to look I've done some searches and seen a lot for newer trucks but not for the Bronco If anyone has an idea or has done this it would be much appr. Thanks Stu

some explorers have rear disks with an 8.8, its a direct swap. Aside from the gear ratio anyways, you can probably expect 4.10's in an explorer

Check with companies like Stainless Steel Brakes (SSB) that make aftermarket kits, or look on ebay. Most kits run about $600-$800 and up, so an axle swap with rear discs might be cheaper, JSM84

I'm running 33x10.5x15 with a 4" lift factory rear end I was thinking better braking power and not having to deal with the drums and springs and all that stuff Thanks everyone for the info

The explorer axle is too narrow for a full size its 2 inches wider than a stock bronco 2 7.5 the disk brakes also will not bolt onto a full sixe axle due to the location that the backing plate mount is welded to the axle . The Lincoln idea is kinda in the same boat plus you have to cut off all the control arm mounts and the lincoln axle is only 28 splines where the explorer axles are 31 just like the wider 1/2 ton 8.8,s . I have put explorer axles in both my bronco 2 and my ranger and even with them its not a bolt in you have to weld spring pads on and move them . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
