Rattling driving me nuts!

Hey guys- i have been getting kinda annoyed with soome rattling and creaking coming from the plastics on my doors. I took a good look and noticed someone had previously (i think overtightened) and broke one of the screwholes for the plastic panel on the drivers side- im gonna try to fix it somehow... but the passenger looks all in tact- i think it just may be the design/age of the door panels. Anyone here ever had to deal with this? I was considering the possibility of supporting behind the panels by using a foam- maybe like dynamat or something- and tightening the panels upto that?... what do u guys think? the doors themselves and the hinges are intact and in excellent condition... its only the plastics that are rattling. If the panels have been removed and installed a few times over the years, the plastic retainers could be worn out. Or some could even be missing. I don't have a good photograph of one, but they have a bunch of little ribs on them that grip the hole in the door to keep things snug. If the ribs are missing or bent to the point they don't grab anymore, the panel will rattle like crazy. The part I'm talking about is number 38 in this catalog page, but you can also get them from your local parts store.

Thanks!- I'm gonna need to take the door panels off soon to replace the speakers- Ill take a close look at those things- they seem like small, inexpensive parts... so if thats the case, it should be a quick fix! /
