I went a local power steering box rebuilder to inquire into how much it would be to rebuild my box. He said he provides the complete steering box, hoses, brackets and pump for BC broncos, Duff and others. He seemed more inclined to go that route than to rebuild mine. He said after the rebuild I would still have a 30 year old box. My thought is "who cares how old it is if re-built". The cost for his complete replacement kit was $750.00. My question is how well do re-builds work ? Is the slop or play eliminated ? Has anyone used West Texas Offroad? They will re-build your box current box for $140 and convert it to a quick steer for $150.

I have heard nothing but amazing stuff come out of WTOR. The couple of guys that I know who have had them work on their stuff say they are amazing and the turn around time is pretty dern reasonable. Just off of their experience, I would recommend West Texas to anyone.
