Over Heating because.....????

okay ive got a 92 302 Bronco and, despite changin the thermostat, radiator cap, upper and lower radiator hoses, transmission coolant lines, changing the oil and adding new anti-freeze, Im still having an over-heating problem. When I check my coolant level, its always low; even after I fill it up then drive it again??? COuld it be my water pump not working right? theres no leaking anywhere where I park so the coolant must be going somewhere but twhere???? please help me...im desperate

start you truck and look from underneath at the waterpump the small hole on the bottom of the water pump to see if it's leaking and check your oil to see if you have water in it you may have a cracked head gasket... or a bad water pump ...

Two things that you didn't mention. 1 - Did you flush the system, it may be inefficient due to crap clinging to the sides of th water passages. 2 - your radiator may not be leaking, but it still could be bad. No three things. 3. Is the shorud attached, without it the fan is very inefficient.

Are you sure you filled it up all the way. Make sure you get it warm and cycling and fill it until all the air is out so you have no air pockets.

One other thing to check, is it leaking slowly inside? Check under the carpet on the passenger's side to make sure the heater core don't have a pin hole in it and is leaking inside. I had a car that did the same thing and it took me weeks to find out it was leaking inside just under the padding and it was being obsorbed. It also has a tell tale sign of making the inside of your windshield fog up more than is normal.

there might be a leak in the radiator it self, try changing that, or put a white sheet under your truck and out red dye in ur radiator and see if it drips out red. and find out where. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> worked for me /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> but of corse i still overheat. a bit.
