I'm Dan I have a 96 Bronco with a 5.0, 33 x 12.5's and a two inch body lift. I had a question for anyone who has lifted a 86 and up bronco. I am planning on a 6 inch lift and I was wondering if there is a sway bar disconnect kit availible? can I just remove them? do I have to leave them on and get the new brackets to reinstall after the lift?

thanks everyone

If you want to keep them, youre going to need the brackets to relocate em. You dont have to use the swaybar, some people say they dont even feel when its off. If you dont go offroading much, i would say keep it on though. But there are brackets for when you lift your truck for the sway bar. Maybe the lift comes with them, but if it doesnt, then you will have to get a hold of some. If you want the quick disconnect option where you can disconnect quicly whenever you want, then connect back, you will have to make your own stuff for that.

Hope that helps and Welcome!

Thank you. It does help. I have a F250 diesel for towing and driving to work so I use my Bronco for fun only. I think I will take the sway bars off and update on how it handles on the sand dunes without them.

Wilmington, NC and down by myrtle beach, Recently I have be playing in the mud bog at the commercial site we are building on right now. There are mud pits that bog out the 3.5 ton Lull we have on site. That thing has 415 75/24 on it so when it barely goes through something I don't risk the bronco in it.

The main thing I was wondering is if I needed a bracket or bolt kit to put on in place of the sway bars or if I just leave them off when I put it back together after the lift.

It is a 2000 with a six speed, long bed with extended cab. 25 miles per gallon ain't bad at all.
