Hey all,

Just joined up. I bought an 81 bronco "trailer special" with a myriad of small problems im hoping to glean some advice and knowledge as i make repairs and strip out the unnecessaries.

I had owned a 96 several years ago but aside from regular maintenance never had to really work on it, so a lot of the stuff i want to do is new to me.

I had never heard of a "trailer special". Its got diamond tuck headliner, captains chairs with dual armrests. 108k and i am now the second owner. It came as a 351m, but in 2002 a 400m was put in with an aluminum intake and 4bbl holley and looks to have most of the smog sh*t removed. Runs and drives great but leaks from everything.

I look forward to being here and will be getting rid of a lot of parts folks here may be able to use.

First up is tearing out the AC system and cruise control stuff.

Jason

Interesting Interior, Pretty sure that is not factory, Looks like snaps for a soft top too.
I would imagine someone put a lot of love into that bronco at one point.

Welcome!

Some updated pics on project progress.

Still need to flush coolant but every other fluid changed and all motor maintenance/tuneup stuff done. The only thing not working at this point is the tach.

2" lift and 35's on. All trim being deleted, most of the rust/trim hole filling done. Planning to spray the exterior with black bedliner.

Got all the rotten old carpet out and cleaned up the interior. Painted all the floor with rubberized bedliner.
