I need new brake pads and the ones that Ford puts on don't seem to get the job done for the money. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for pads. I drive my Bronco mainly on the road, and take it out a couple of times a month. Anybody know of a good pad or have any suggestions?

If what I heard was true, ceramic is the way to go. Less dust, less sound, better stopping power, and longer life. Dirt and all that, well, no pad will help against that. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

But in my opinion, for the price, ceramic is what I go for. If the pads don't seem to be doing the job, you might want to have your rotors checked.

I put a set of ceramics on and I am not happy with them. They seem like there is no difference in the dust and my new rotors feel like they have ridges now feeling through the wheel. They don't squeak...that is good. They seem also like the get hotter too. I wish they still made asbestos break pads...damn cancer causing stuff just can't be beat!
