Ok, so I have a dilemma. I love the Bronco I have. It is a '93 Full Size XLT. Burgundy & White. It has a little rust here and there (mostly on the tailgate of course). It needs a new brake line and a new battery, but is in fine shape other than that. I have already done work to keep the rear window working. It has about 120,000 miles on it, but the engine was replaced and it only has about 75,000 miles on it. Its got Power windows & locks, a towing package and the sweet wheels.
Anyway, I haven't driven it in almost 2 years. I took a new job and I have to drive like 70 miles round trip every day for work. With the cost of gas, I leave it parked. I don't even have it registered or insured at the moment and haven't bothered to replace the brake line or battery.
A guy I know has been bugging me for years to buy it. I always told him no because I had no intention of selling it. Now that I am not driving it, I am considering letting him buy it. I would rather see someone else getting some use out of it and enjoying it, then it sitting out behind my house.
So, with that said, what I need help with is figuring out what its worth. What is a good source for me to figure out how much to sell it for? I know the various used car price books are out there, but are they really the best source for value, especially on something like Bronco's?
Anyway, your input it much appreciated.
Thanks!
