Need best power steering fluid type for 92 Bronco

I have a Haynes manual which recommends Type F ATF for power steering pump. Another site said Mercon ATF is recommended. I just put in a new pump and want to put the best type in going forward and would appreciate any advice as well as how much I will need to buy.

Factory Was Type F,

Dex/Merc works in a pinch.

I would use type F with a Bottle of Lucas Oil ATF fluid conditioner.
