I've become frusterated with the small mirrors on my bronco, I need somthing bigger for when I'm pulling my boat. I was wondering if it would be possible to pull the mirrors off an older (92-96) F250 or F350 and put them on, or if their are any other options out their. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

There are some cheap plastic mirror housings that slide over the existing mirror that will give you a mirror about the same size as the factory mirror it just sticks out past the factory mirror. I need to emphasize cheap as I believe I found them at Pep Boys & you'll only bump them once before they will break.

The non-sport mirrors like I have on my 89 would be able to be mounted/screwed on to a 96 but you would need to remove your sport mirrors & deal with the hole it would leave.

Yea, i saw those extentions you could get, but they look so cheap like you said. Plus the ones i saw said "No Tools Needed" and to me that means, go on easy and falls off easy. I will use those if i have to, but is there nothing else out there?

Thanks

I was forced to buy new mirrors in my last bronco after someone knocked one off in a parking lot. They were the small electric ones and would have cost a fortune to replace- I went down to local autozone and found some much larger ones- with the bars- for about 30 bucks. Theywere real solid and greatly increased my range of view. I had to create a couple new holes- and like Rubberdust said- it did leave a hole or two on each side. If you're not concerned with a little screwhole- that probably your best option. (i didnt mind on mine cuz it wasnt exactky a show car-if you know what i mean.lol) Good Luck!

If you want to use different model mirrors, or aftermarkets, you will end up with filling in the old bolt holes if you don't want them open to the elements. You may wnat to consider the adhesive wideviews that fit into the lower outside corners. That is, if you haven't thought of that. They may save alot of money, labor, problems and rusting issues. Good Luck.

You'll find replacement mirrors & the extended plastic ones at LMC Truck.

www.LMCTRUCK.COM OR 800-562-8782

They have a couple different options shown in their catalog including a dual position stainless version of the non-sport OE Bronco mirrors.

You can get the strap on trailer mirrors. They arent the prettiest but they work. The big ones off an f-250 or 350 bolt to the side of your door skin. They have nuts welded on the inside, you can easily run a nut and bolt if thats what you really wanted, make sure you plug up the old holes and seal the new ones so that they dont rust.
