Lift and Axle question for 96' rig

I've got a stock 96 Bronco. It is mostly my commuter and weekend wheeler and I need to upgrade it. I am looking at a 4" Rough Country suspension lift with 33x12.50s. I really dont want to spend any more money on problems with this job, are there any other major upgrades that need to be done? Do I need to mess with the axles, i get enough power and gas milage with this set up?

I would recommend installing 4.10:1 gears with 33" tall tires to keep the engine in it's stock powerband and keep the gas mileage up. However, if you have 3.55:1 gears, you may not notice much of a difference, especially if you're already on 31" tires. You may notice a lack of power when towing or climbing a steep hill, or the tranny kicking out of overdrive more often. JSM84

I have 33's with 3.55 gears. I am not liking the power. some people run 36's with stock gears and say its fine. It is doable, doesnt HAVE to be done but if you are power hungry like me then it is a priority.

My friend had a 88 with a 351 Windsor on 38's with stock running gears. His truck ran through all the thick muck down here in South FL without a problem. However he definatly didn't have the tire smokin power that he had before hand.
