Has anybody installed one? A walk thru would be helpful. Or even a link on How to's

Yeah, I did one. Spray the whole thing with PB blaster first. Mine was a C6 tranny. Yours may be AOD (which I've never worked on) or C6. If your transmission gear indicator on the steering column has just a plain "D", it's a C6. If it's got a "D" with and "O" around it, it's and AOD (Automatic Overdrive). If it's got a little button switch on the end of the shifter to turn the overdrive on and off, its and EOD (Electronic Overdrive). Since you have the Eddie Bauer package and the bigger engine, you prob'ly have the fancier transmission, too.
The Neutral Park safety switch on mine had just two bolts holding it in. The harder part (if you have the C6 tranny) was getting the linkage loose. You need to loosen the nut on the post going into the transmission. You'll have to gently pry and wiggle to get everything off the shaft (I broke my old switch getting it off. Plastic collar had a lot of grit, and it wouldn't slide off the shaft without pressure. But, hey, that was the part I was replacing, so no biggie).
And notice the orientation for the switch. There will be a flat spot or a keyway to make sure the compontents in the switch turn as the linkage rotates the shaft going through the switch.
The Haynes manual should have pictures, hopefully with your model transmission.
ALMOST FORGOT-- the parts stores seem to have a hard time matching parts on Broncos this old. Bring your old switch in when you buy the new one, and inspect the new switch and especially the connectors before leaving the store. Make sure it matches the old one. A lot of them look a like, but may not be compatible.
Happy New Year!
