So I went down the rabbit hole on this and found that the part I need is the YH565 and unfortunately is discontinued and no longer available...anywhere...except junkyards, but I prefer to buy a new one if possible.
What I did find out is that the climate control systems for crown victorias and grand marquis of that era are very similar and use a YH1489 heater switch that, at least from outward appearance, look identical and would fit into the 1995 bronco climate control cluster.
Its the internal wiring and vacuum hose routing I'm not sure of...

Would anyone here happen to know if the YH1489 is wired the same or different and if the vacuum hoses route the same or different as the YH565?
I figure that the bronco wiring harness and the vacuum hoses can be rerouted/modified to work with the YH1489 but I don't know enough about their internals yet to be confident to do this

Below is a pic of the YH1489

I went ahead and bought a YH1489 to have a look-see at it in person

Below is the 1995 crown victoria climate control cluster vs the broncos

Some subtle cosmetic differences like where the fan icon is located on the fan speed control and the missing "C" and "W" on the temperature control and missing the DEF under the defroster icon. Other than that all the mode selector positions are the same so I would assume that the YH1489 is wired the same.
