Hi All,
I need help tracking down a part # for my climate control selector switch, does anyone know what the part # is for this part, it says F4TZ-19D961-AA on it but searching for that has gotten me nowhere.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

So I went down the rabbit hole on this and found that the part I need is the YH565 and unfortunately is discontinued and no longer available...anywhere...except junkyards, but I prefer to buy a new one if possible.
What I did find out is that the climate control systems for crown victorias and grand marquis of that era are very similar and use a YH1489 heater switch that, at least from outward appearance, look identical and would fit into the 1995 bronco climate control cluster.
Its the internal wiring and vacuum hose routing I'm not sure of...

Would anyone here happen to know if the YH1489 is wired the same or different and if the vacuum hoses route the same or different as the YH565?
I figure that the bronco wiring harness and the vacuum hoses can be rerouted/modified to work with the YH1489 but I don't know enough about their internals yet to be confident to do this

Below is a pic of the YH1489

I went ahead and bought a YH1489 to have a look-see at it in person

Below is the 1995 crown victoria climate control cluster vs the broncos

Besides some subtle cosmetic differences, like where the fan icon is located on the fan speed control and the missing "C" and "W" on the temperature control and missing the DEF under the defroster icon. Other than that all the mode selector positions are the same so I would assume that the YH1489 is wired the same.

Howdy there. I was going to say something about replacing that entire assembly but looks like you figured that out.
Had to go the junkyard route on my '92 F250, same issue.
I'll be watching to see how this works out for ya.
I ended up with a similar issue on my 91 Bronc- the dash panel rear window switch has become Unobtainium and the '92-up switches are a dime a dozen. Had to 'make it work'. Fortunately that wasn't too bad a retrofit.
Good luck with the fix.

Hi Jimbo,
I'll update this thread hopefully next weekend after the parts come in and I get a chance to work on it. I've ordered the new YH1849 and a used replacement climate control panel with the YH565 module, so worst case scenario if the YH1489 doesn't work for whatever reason I have the used YH565 as a backup. And if the YH1489 does work I'll still have the used YH565 as a backup for down the road if I need it at some point. Really hoping the new part works though (y), I just don't trust junk yard parts very much (n)

Success!!! The YH1489 works perfect and cost $43.75 on amazon, I think they can be had for cheaper elsewhere but I needed it sooner than later. I think these are soon to be extinct like the YH565's, the amazon retailer I got mine from currently only has 1 more in stock, O'reilly's doesn't have them but I see RockAuto seems to have them as well as ebay. So if anyone needs this part get'em while you can...Links below
