Headers worth the trouble

I have a 92 with a 5.8 and I was wondering if it was worth the effort to install a set of headers. Is there any increase in MPG or power? I know the exhaust manifold bolts can easily break off so is the install worth it? Thanks

To make power you need to get air in and get air out. The more you put in and allow out the more power your gonna get, Its not going to turn your truck into a top fuel dragster but it will free up some power.

Yes well worth the trouble. Depending on what kind of header you put in there, they may be hard to install. I actually had to put my left side in from undernieth and the right side in from the top. I did notice a power differance though. Plus the sound you get with a nice exaust is great payoff if you ask me. I did long headers btw.
