Grinding noise from front end??

I have an 87 with a 6" superlift on 35's and after hearing this noise i jacked up the truck to find my passenger side tire feeling like it was loose. I was able to shake it up and down with my hands, and when i took off the wheels and man. locking hub the rotor was wabbling too... the ball joints were tight though. Is it Wheel bearings?? are the difficult to replace??

sounds like wheelbearings to me..they're simple as long as you know how to take the hubs out and have the tools to do the job

Yes wheelbearings are toast my friend. There is a special tool you will need to get to remove the spindle nuts. its cheap, only 10.00-15.00

When you get it apart, take a close look at the inner nut (the one with the little pin sticking out). Make sure the little pin has not been pushed in. This will happen if someone put the nut on backward, or didn't get it lined up with the little holes on the lockring. If that happens the nuts will not actually be locked and can back off. Also if the nuts were put on in the reverse order it wont be locked. It's an easy mistake to make if one is not paying attention and you will still be able to torque the outer nut without noticing that the inner parts are not lined up.
