what year is your bronco? if you have the what i like to call sissor dana 44 , you have to change the carrier if you want to go 4.10 or bigger but i think if you have the 8.8 or 9 inch you dont have to ... yeah a 4.10 and up to an extent helps around town on gas but once you hit the highway , it starts guzzling i changed mine out and it was a task for the front end but the rear was easy ...i have some 36 tsl sx's i used to put on when i had my 3.55 and it did ok mudding but you can really tell a diffrenece when you change the gearsokay i have the stock 3.50 axle gearing and i will be putting 36 in. x 12.5 tsl's
how would the 3.50 do gas mileage and power wise
also if i do need to upgrade would i want 4.56 4.88 ect?

yeah so you have to straight axle 44 its alot easier than a earlier model !!! but you will have to change the carrier in the dana 44 but you should be good in the rear its a little bit more of a pain than a 8.8 but you should be good it should be a week weekend job and run you around 1000.00 dollars maybe cheaper if you find some good used ring and pinions or carrier a 4.56 would be ideal for everyday driving with some 36's and thing bigger wuld be for preformancei have a 79 with a dana 44 front and the ford 9 in rear
the gears are 600 front and back and my grandpa has a friend that will do em for me free...yeah so you have to straight axle 44 its alot easier than a earlier model !!! but you will have to change the carrier in the dana 44 but you should be good in the rear its a little bit more of a pain than a 8.8 but you should be good it should be a week weekend job and run you around 1000.00 dollars maybe cheaper if you find some good used ring and pinions or carrier a 4.56 would be ideal for everyday driving with some 36's and thing bigger wuld be for preformance
