I need to replace my Bronco's gas tank vent hose.

How did the WASHING MACHINE HOSE that you used to vent the gas tank hold up inside the gas tank?

Did it do OK, or did it MELT with the gasoline?

Is it still holding up?

If not, what other hose size [diameter] can I use as a VENT hose for the filler neck on my BRONCO?

What is the diameter of the filler neck vent hose???

This vent hose is INSIDE of the gas filler neck.

I've seen people use a ''Washing Machine flexible Plastic Drain Hose' to replace the BAD vent hose that is inside the filler neck

***I NEED TO KNOW IF ''Washing Machine flexible Plastic Drain Hose' to replace the BAD vent hose that is inside the filler neck is OK to use.

SEE attached PICTURE OF WASHING MACHINE HOSE used as vent hose!!!

I've read that:

Most often the cause of slow fill up or "spit back" of fuel while refueling is a problem with the filler neck vent hose.

This vent hose is usually inside the filler neck and runs down to the fuel tank.

Where can I purchase this vent hose?

No one has this hose, that's why I think people are using a Washing Machine Hose

Vent & Fill Tube pics in pre 87 & 87 & up; "...Early trucks use a small corrugated plastic vent tube tucked into the top of the steel filler neck , but it often kinks & blocks fuel from entering the tank easily. Later trucks use a heavy plastic filler hose inside the steel vent neck, which allows MUCH easier filling. The necks are interchangeable, so it's a good upgrade for an old truck, especially if filling is becoming a problem. It also allows the use of a more modern gas cap..."
