Has anyone seen or have pictures of an early bronco with a gas door instead of a filler pipe? Similar to the ones used on those 'other' off road vehicles that shall remain nameless here? While reinstalling the filler pipe in my freshly painted rig; the pipe caught the edge and gave my new paint job a nice chip and a crack. After kicking a large inanimate object without steel toed boots I sat and pondered, and thought this might be a solution.

I saw 77s had doors, but I never thought it through. So the gas tank set up is the same on 77s, only they have a door instead of a filler pipe?

They have those Billet doors that are flat against the fender, that was what I had in mind. Was trying to figure out how to run the hose to the tank.

They are like any other gas modern door flush with springs and latches, the amount of body work would take a day and then a repaint.

Just touch up your paint and drive it like ya stole it!
