My front bumper is bent on both ends. It seems to be pretty common because i've noticed it on a lot of F-series trucks of the same year and bronco's. It's straight in the front, just both ends are bent downward leaving a gap between the fender and bumper. If i put a jack under it and jack it up a little bit it looks straight, but once i lower the jack it just goes back to being bent. Is there a way to keep it bent the right way? Heating it up or something? I have no idea. I have to get enough body work done to this thing, i don't want to buy a front bumper too.

Thanks

Bryan

Try using washers as shims to space the bumper to get the proper fitment.

I have experience with only one bent bumper, It involved a big gate post....HHMMMM Anyhow it was on a 74 150. We actually had to take it past where it looked "right" That way when it "relaxed" it sat where I wanted it. I'm not sure this is propper but it worked for me.

To be honest I'd probably try Yardapes version first, sounds less painful should the jack slip.

The bumpers on those newer broncos are nowhere near up par with the older broncs. They are held on by surprisingly small bolts, and I found that where the small bolts attach to the bumper those "tabs" bend very easy, I had my bumper lined up perfect when I swapped front ends, one crunch into the side of a mudhole, it pushed the bumper into my tire. Its was these "tabs" (for lack of a better word) that bent, not the actual bumper or bracketry. You will see what I mean when you get under there. Oh yeah and those bolts will probably break off, I had 7 break and one came out. The was cursing at it, wished it had broken as well, much faster to break off then twist after twist through all the damn rust and crap. Let them break off, who cares. Get new bolts and clips. Much easier to deal with. Since you said it was both sides not aligned I would go with what I suggested. Had it only been one side, I would be convinced that the bumper was bent. But I think it just needs to be adjusted

Thanks for the info, yeah i know what you mean by those tabs. I just looked under there and tried to get one bolt out and it is stripped......of course. Pretty crappy design.

When I bought a new bumper for mine it didn't look right when I installed it one side was lower then the other, so I used washers to even it out and it worked great, it also spaced my bumper so I could fit 33's. Nice Cobra.
