I've seen some topics listed on his subject but haven't seen any decent solutions. My 76 with the top off and the bikini on exhaust gets pretty bad, i'm running duals out the back of the rear tires with slight turn downs. I've heard that could be the problem and I should switch to straight and have them come out past the tires. Do any of you have suggestions? I thought an h-pipe might help by creating more vacuum and pulling exhaust out more efficent?? Any idea and thanks !!!

i actually custom built mine into my rear bumper that i made and i havent gotten that horride smell yet. they come out right below the rear taillight posts at an angle. like they would behind the rear tires just built into the bumper insted. i mainly did it to clean up the rear end look and keep them outta water and mud all the time. and i dont notice a smell at all, maybe you have an exhaust leak?

Also.., A"rich" runn'n eng. will create that god-awful smell that sticks to your clothes & nose hairs...!! :-&

I have the same set-up as you..& no smell....except those momentary hits when the wind blows just right.

However.., it's that clean exhaust smell that doesn't stick/stink. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

That's slo-n-go 4x4'n though....at speed there's no smell.

Like 77 said ..."a leak" may be the culprit
