i updated my signature with my current goals. funny they seem to change daily...
i think when it's all done the only thing left that will be totally stock is the interior (IF i can find a stock grey drivers seat- otherwise corbeaus look good to me for what i need) and bumpers and trim and exhaust (except for muffler).
my dad is a stickler for 100% restoration (70 chevelle SS and a 47 ford coupe are his keepers after many years and many resto projects totally stock down to the smallest nut and bolt.) and in a way it rubbed off slightly. i like the way the bronco looked off the assembly line. but, the more i dig into it i love the way certain things look and add to performance- like a lift and bigger tires. so i have a little of his ideal in me still. funny after 38 years i still want him to appreciate what i do when i work on a restoration. he's more of a car guy though i am, have been and always will be a truck man myself.
for paint - mine is YY white- and i do like white after having dark colored trucks my whole life - less visible scratches. but, i think i'll go white but pearl white instead.
for now i'll get the engine rebuilt to original specs and the tranny and drivetrain too- will probably upgrade gearings to accomodate the bigger tires though. just don't need a hot rod engine. this is still a mostly daily driver. who knows when it's all done i may go back in a few years and rethink that too.
so i think it will probably end up 50/50 on the stock thing when it's all said and done.
as far as the clock my 90 does not have one. is it digital?
the window arm may be off the window track or the gears that attach the arm to the window may be broken or maybe the arm has come off completely. best way to tell is just pop the door panel off. it's easy to pop off just make sure not to crack it. reinstalling the panel is fairly easy too just make sure to get the fasteners lined up and pop them back into place. sometimes they'll get stuck in the door when you pull it off.
enjoy the bronco they're the best and even though i'm a ways of from finishing mine it is in excellent shape mechanically and cosmetically, and i get compliments and looks of envy all the time. especially with the top off here when we have that beautiful so cal weather.
get a nice sounding exhaust too it's always fun every mornng to try and set my neighbors car alarms off on the way to work.
