Just wondering if anybody knew anything about an engine swap for a 300 six cylinder to a 351M.... i dont want any problems when i go to put it in and i dont exactly know what all i need to do this swap. I know i would need a new radiator and bell housing. but other than that i dont know what all is needed to be changed to make the 351M work. the truck is an 86 with the stock 300. the 351M is out of an 81 or an 82 bronco. I really need some input on this so if anybody knows anything please post your knowledge.

Thank You,

Shane

You will need to change the motor mounts, and possibly the frame mounts for those as well. Check with Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, they sell the L&L Products conversion mounts I used for my 460 swap. You might also want to look up the engine specs for the year specific to those engines your exchanging. The 300I-6 is a torque monster, and the 351M in sotck form is not much better. But if you have a busted motor and a good donor to swap, it may be worth the efffort, JSM84
