Hi I just got another Bronco, I've had some before. This one is a '69 Bronco Baja ??? It's a basket case, body is in good shape. It has a later engine sitting in it but nothing is hooked up. It don't even have a engine harness in it. What I need to know is what I can do for electronic ignition. It has a electronic destrbutor in it but nothing else. I heard that Ford changed the cam gear so I couldn't put a points dist. back in. I like electronic but don't know what I all need to get. I have a line on a 71 302 with all the stuff on it. I could rebuild it and put a aftermarket dist. in it. The Bronco is getting a frame off redo so I'm not in a hurry just need to know what to plan for. THANKS.

I have a '73, and I have been running an MSD "off road" ignition, and an MSD "pro billet" distributor.I have had real good results.it actually fires 20 degrees beyond normal crank rotation giving you a more efficient burn on youre fuel.good luck

Another option is if it's a stock style distributor to pull the ignition module out of a boneyard. it will bea small box aproximately 4"x 4" located usualy on the inner well or near the distributor. it will have three wires going to the dist. and 4 or 5 to the firewall power, ground, ignition swich ect. i would suggest tracing them before pulling it.
