I installed a 16" puller from flex-a-lite. It does OK but I only have a 4 core radiator so I only run it in the winter when the water gets deep.

It doesn't keep up in the summer but my buddy has an cheap alum radiator with electrics and has never had a problem so you should be OK. If you go in deep water and mud rememeber to pull the radiator and clean it. Otherwise it will overheat.

Thanks for the info, I think after all the info I have read I am going to stick with the stock fan.

when i rebuilt my 69 four years ago i put a flex-o-lite in it. i have not currently had any problems with it but i only run that 69 of my two in the sands of N.C. so i'm not really having to deal with any mud or high water issues either, but good luck!

I have run the 16 inch haydn fans om my stock radiator's in my 67 and 75, w/o any concerns. It sure makes a difference in the smoothness of the engine operation and cuts way down on noise
