I just purchased door window seals from bronco graveyard but don't see how to get the window out of the way to get them installed. Any suggestions, tips and pointers on installation of the window weatherstrip kits?

It will be easier to handle the seals if you remove the window. I'm not sure on the 78/79, but on the 80 - 86 you remove the wing window (two screws on the front edge of the door and one bolt under the door panel. Then slide the window out of the way. Insert the new seal in the track and top edge. With mine the tricky part was the front track since the seal came as one piece. For the 80 - 86 it is necessary to determine the correct place to cut the seal, but now that I have done it, it would have been easier to just mark the position of the old seal against the rail on the back side of the wing window. Place th remainder of the seal in the track on the back side of the wing window and reinstall the side window and wing window. I then made small adjustments in the position of the front part of the seal to get the two exactly mated at the cut. If the seal is the same as the one for the 80 - 86, the front part is the section that has the edge of the seal trimmed off. I can get you pictures of mine if that will help.

Good luck,

:)>-

hey dude... it would be easier to help you if we knew the year of your bronco! It's a rather simple process... first you need to remove the smoklers window( 78-79 bronco) then the glass will fall to the side with a little care. then you just need to remove the existing weather strip and replace .... re-assemble and enjoy!!!!
