anyone ever have real bad shaking during acceleration or when you hit a bump? I got a 76 with 3.5 in lift and 33 in tire and whenever i hit a bump while accelerating the whole front end starts to shake, sometimes i have to pull off the road to stop it, but hitting the brakes normally stops it.

Thanks. I checked my wheel bearings and replaced them, so hopefully that will solve the problem.

Usually the death wobble is due to a missing wheel weight. Look at the rim and see if you can notice where one fell off. Or have the tires ballanced if the wheel bearings didn't do the trick.

Then look at the trac bar bushings by turning the steering wheel back and forth. Look for slop at every joint and bushing.

Sounds like a broken track-bar bracket...or bushings are gone (1 or both ends) Test: while parked, eng. off, move steering wheel hard left & right.....if front of veh. moves left & right...that's your prob.
