So I have a 95 bronco that when I bought the cruise worked in. I did a motor swap from a 351 to 302 I have rebuilt and beefed up. Every since the swap my cruise hasnt works so two years later (today) I bought a new clockspring, switch w/harness and I wired on a new servo connector and installed them. I still do not have a horn and or cruise. Im not sure where to go from here. I do have a abs wheel sensor that is missing on the driver side but I'm not sure if that affects cruise/horn and no fuses are blown. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and I replace the third brake bulbs.

Once the group reviewed my claim then someone got in touch with me, I have to mail copys of my title, bill of sale, ect. and copy's of photos of the damage to her. She said that the dealer dose not have parts for vehicles 10 years and older so I have to get my local shop to replace the master cylinder and the wires that were effected by the break fluid and their labor cast, she will cut me/the shop a check and then after the work is done then the dealer will look it over to make sure the truck and the work is up-to-date. My new PC is acting up, so I have to clear files & History, etc and re-start.

Since you already installed a new clock spring, you do know the safety procedures; be careful.  I think the wiring diagrams aslo show the horn & Cruise/clock spring connectors pins.

Do you happen ti know if cruise is programmed into the computer? I rebuilt a bronco then swapped everything into this truck because I liked the eb bronco better. And The donor truck didnt have cruise.

I tested the circuits and it failed a10 and a11 on swrvo connector and I have no voltage at the horn harness so I performed test b3 and I have voltage at the constant pin on the relay but nowhere else with horn pressed. I noticed there's five pin on the relay but in dont have a wire for the center pin in the box. Should there be a wire there or is it irrelevant? And what is circuit 460?

yo,

Ford forgot to label the horn relay pin depiction & legend;

There are only 4 wires @ relay; 87a is not used.

Pin Number Circuit Circuit Function 30 460 (Y/LB) Power (Hot at All Times) 85 1 (DB) Horn Switch Feed 86 460 (Y/LB) Power (Hot at All Times) 87 6 (Y/LG) Horn Feed 87A Not Used

You can swap horn relay with

Relay 4 Relay Trailer Tow or Dual Rear Wheel Running Lamps OR Relay 5 Relay Fog Lamps (Lightning), ABS Pump Motor (Bronco) See if horns honks, if so, then buy a new Bosch relay at any parts store.

Im not the best with electrical nut if im reading this right both pin 30 and 86 should have 12v constant? If so pin30 is present but not pin 86. And the fuse isnt blown and has power to it. So I need to tra e Ryan he wire from pin 86 to the battery and inspect it

  • yo,
  • ok
In A10 & A11- tests failed so you went to A11 and most likely could be open circuit in switch ground

See CC wiring diagram at http://arrc.ebscohost.com/articles/uuid_p5_wiring_diagram_161787890295305700461451313140168211270.pdf?car_uuid=1106109

Possible Ground G108 Black- it also serves PSOM, head lights, turn lights PCM, ABS Module, etc.

G108 RH fender apron, at voltage regulator

or

G203 Black/Lt Blu serves 4WD Shift Module, Air Bag Monitor, etc.

G203 RH rear side of radiator support

yo,  My copy & paste did not work so well;

change In A10 & A11- tests failed so you went to A11 and most likely could be open circuit in switch ground

to

Open circuit or fuse in horn relay feed or open circuit in switch ground

That refers to the ground wires that come off the main harness and bolt to the sides of the fenders right? Those are all ok..

Accordinung to this none of these pins are grounded right? I did a continuity test o them and when I touched pin 87 and the wire thats grounded to the body in the corner of the drivers fender and cab it the multi meter beeps

Ok I have it half way figured out.. I removed the horn relay and jumped pin 30(the one I have constant too) to pin 87 ans verified that the horn works. I then jumped it to pin 86 (which doesnt have any power hut is supposed too) and replaced the relay. The horn button now works so I went for a test drive and cruise control now works.. so now the question is is why am I not getting powerr to pin 86? What would cause this?

yo,

pin 87 will show continuity to ground through horn that is grounded by its mounting.

So that is good!

pin 85 1 (DB) Horn Switch Feed energizes the horn relay and closes contacts at pins 30 & 87 when horn switch is closed (honk horn)

follow Relay Control ckt from fuse in Eng fuse block to horn relay pin 86 through coil

85 and 86 control the main relay (provides power to coil that closes contacts for load circuit -30-87

85 goes to clock spring horn ckt and onto ground

Am tired now; up early; will try to be back WED.

yo,

B3 CHECK HORN RELAY SUPPLY

  • Remove horn relay from the engine compartment fuse box.
  • Using a test light, check for voltage in circuit 460 (Y/LB) at relay pins 30 and 86.
  • Is voltage present?
arrow.gif
Yes

GO to B5 .

arrow.gif
No

GO to B4 .

B4 CHECK CIRCUIT 460 (Y/LB) FOR OPEN
  • Remove fuse C from the engine compartment fuse box.
  • Using Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or equivalent, check Circuit 460 (Y/LB) for continuity between relay Pins 30 and 86 and fuse C output cavity.
  • Is continuity present?
