I just bought a 78 bronco with a 400 motor and a C 6 transmission, I wanted to drain the transmission fluid and replace it but i can not find the drain plug on this transmission. Does anyone know exactly how to drain one of these. Thanks

MOst transmissions do not have drain plugs and theres a good reason for this . My tranny guy told me that the reason is that if your going to change the fluid they want you to change the filter also and you cant do that through the drain plug . So the only way to drain the fluid is to remove the pan and seeing how you have the pan off you might as well change the filter .
