I have had a 1969 Bronco for 10 years. I have decided to sell it a few months ago.
I had the carburetor replaced some 20 miles ago because it had caught fire. Well, it caught fire again, and this time I couldn't stop it. I had to call the firemen!
A lot of stuff burned under that hood. The body wasn't compromised, except for the hood that had to be broken into.
On my ads I was asking $11,500, aiming to get $10K.
Now...I am not sure if I want to go through the fixing, or just sell it as it is. It seems that bronco lovers like to pick their parts anyway.
I am a woman, and know nothing about mechanics. I had everything fixed just to enjoy it.
I know it's a difficult question since you haven't seen the level of the damage, but how much could a partially burned Bronco be worth?
Body is ok, tires and wheels are ok, power brakes seem ok...everything except for what's under the hood...
Is it an impossible question, or you could enlighten me?
Thank you. I am attaching some pictures of the post-fire bronco.
