My brother was visiting over Thanksgiving so I took him out in the Bronco. While climbing a pretty good pond bank I heard a bad "snap". Now I can spin my rear driveshaft by hand with both rear wheels on the ground. I'm assuming I sheared the pinion.
Anyway, while I'm at it I want to add a selectable locker and upgrade my bent 28 spline axles to 31 spline.
So I've got a few questions:
1. Other than ARB does anyone make a selectable locker for the 9"?
2. I've heard the ARB can freeze up in cold weather like air brakes. How much of a problem is this?
3. I'd like to buy a complete assembled third member. Who does a good job for a fair price?
4. If I pull my third member to see what all broke, can I still roll the chassis if I leave the axles in?
