Well, I have a bad mount as far as i have checked, I have only checked tranny mount, but not the engine ones yet, thats next...it became real windy here and i crawled out to go inside. anyways. If, and if they are bad, say both engine mounts. what effects could that have on the tranny or other things, like maybe causing a grind? or......what... i mean ihave tthe common knowledge of everythin being worn more(potentially) and things being off line, but what else could it cause.

The mounts are no longer solid/hard rubber, more soft and i can put a little squeeze on them i can tell the one is bad. just to give an idea of what i did.

Just a question

a quick check without getting uder there in this bad weather is to do the old Chevy 238/etc. check by having someone watch the engine and you pop the accel pedal they will be able to see the engine twists... old chevy prob was solved with new driver's side mount and a chain to "help" the mount (due to rotational torque)

also, any noise such as fan hitting shroud? if so, bad mount

ck tranny / transfer case mounts too
