Try a search for "SAS " or "solid axle swap". Installing a straight axle in place of the stock TTB takes some fabrication. Also, search over at FSB (fullsizebronco.com), they have a separate forum just for SAS. You can also check the link to "MiesK5 HomePage" in the Tech Articles section here at BZ. That will answer 99.99% of your Bronco questions.

Good luck!!!

is there a particular reason why you want to do this swap? it takes a moderate amount of know-how and general working understanding of 4x4 suspension to properly set up the geometric angles required in this swap. its not hard to do, but it requires patience and a fair bit of skill

I'm not sure what your trying to say, but the reason I want to do this swap is b/c I want to put a pretty big lift on...and in the end I would like this to be a rock crawler.so yeah..Im sure I'll have no problem w/the geometric angles. Im used to workin' on race cars. I've raced everything from, stock v8 class to dirt late models I am know in IMCA racing series. Im pretty smart when it comes to the geometrics. and I have been doing alot of research on 4x4 suspension. My friend Chris and Jason are also there to help me.but chris has a super duty f350 and jason has a 2000 Z71 but I figured I would asked you guyz (b/c yall are Bronco Owners. so please just help me out as much as possible dont question me just help!!!! MIKE b-( thats my friend chris' truck

i asked the question so that you would ask yourself if you REALLY needed to do the swap. Bronco's in their stock form are plenty capable, and even with the TTB, there's not alot of places you cant go with 35's and lockers front and rear. yea its nice to have 1 ton gear under your truck, but you're looking at 1500 to 3K, maybe more, for a quality 1 ton swap. if the money isnt an issue, the go for it. just trying to possibly open your eyes to another possibility. I'm glad you can build race cars and what not. but 4x4's and race cars are two totally different worlds. Keep doing as much research as you can and learn as much as possible about our suspension options

i beg to differ...when I had 36" swampers, I would get stuck EVERYWHERE man and I think that I'm a really good driver when it comes to off-roading. Now, with 44s, i crawl everywhere.

35's are good for rockcrawling and what not but for serious mud, you're out matched unless you're just runnin trails
