I have a 1973 Ford Bronco. Minimal rust, doors are in perfect shape. Needs new floor pans and new tail gate. I would like to sand blast the frame and tub to get all rust off in tough areas and then put her all back together. Typically, what are you guys spending on these things before you finally say "im done"? I plan to do virtually everything my self with the exception of sandblasting and motor/tranny work.

as long as you own it, it will never be done. Atleast that is how it goes for me. As it always seems to be that something somewhere is in need of some degree of attention. I guess if you dont drive it at all there would come a time when you could say " Now it is just like it was when it came off the assembly line." But then the little changes that make it personal to the builder/owner start and the driving starts. But hey that is why we love them they deffinetly reflect each individual owners taste and preferences.

I guess that all makes sense. It is what I want to spend and put in. I just didnt know what some costs would be such as sandblasting the frame and so on.

thanks

I am using an Excel spreadsheet to help figure mine out and it helps add things up for me too since I **** at math, still heavily in the planning stage, but it gives me a tool to check reality against wishful thinking. As for your blasting questions, check around your local area, most media-blasting shops will give you a free estimate.

I just had my tub/frame blasted for $800. That was for the complete vehicle. My body was on a rotisserie and the frame was separate.
