Any ideas on loosening up window tracks.

I heard of using soap but I heard it doesnt last to long. Any ideas?

A lot of people incl. W/S mfgrs recommend soap & water solution;

prob a good idea to clean it out first w/a rag/Q tips for side window channels if they are gunked;

Ford (and I use) recommends silicone lubricant; I use an empty baby food jar to spray the sil. into and an artist's brush to apply so I don't spray the sil on painted areas

Silicone **** does work better,And you can also get it in a squeeze tube from carquest...Also if you have power windows a little white **** around where the motor and regulator mate up will work wonders..... B)

As i was replacing the gear plugs i noticed the window was hard to move up and down. I was told to use a bar of soap to losen up the window trcks. Thanks every one for the help
