Is a 200 amp alternator "overkill" for a mostly stock 94 Bronco? I run a decent sound system but not many watts (only 800) but I want to do a dual battery set up because I'm in the process of "working off" a 9000lb winch from someone. I just don't know if 200 amps would be to much or anything. Any advice would be great. By the way, the winch wont be hooked up for a while since I have to fab up a bumper to put it on.

Dang, I didn't know you could get a 200 amp! It would have to have 4/0 wires which are about one inch in diameter to handle that much electron flow.

You know most homes have a 200 amp service to feed the entire house.

Perhaps you could get a really large inverter and add a little juice back into your house to save on the utility bill when you are letting it warm up on them cold mornings.

That's definatly an idea, but I'm not sure how much it would change since I only let the Bronco warm up for what it MUST have and nothing more. It's a gas hog and the less gas I "waist" the better.
