I am currently in the process of fixing the headliner in my 79 Bronco. I have the headliner, however it does not have the hole cut out for the sunroof that apparently was installed. I have outlined the headliner to cut it out to fit. However, I desperately need the trimming to hold the headliner in place but cannot find one anywhere!!!! If you have one and are willing to sell, please contact me. Or if you know of a site where I can find one, I would REALLY appreciate it! Also, I am open to suggestions for mounting the headliner, as far as insulation/sound control or adhesive, etc. If you have any other suggestions, I would love to hear them. THANKS

Installation low-1-5-0

Low wrote; "not sure on the brand, a buddy gave it to me, to get the head liner and sunroof to fit better I had to cut the support rib back about 1 inch more than the hole and when every thing sandwiched together the headliner bent to fit."

Swat wrote; "If you have ever made a cut-out and installed a speaker you can do this. Trace the pattern that comes with it on the roof. Align it just aft of the sun visors to position it correctly. That keeps it behind the visors, just in front of the cab light and you avoid trouble with trimming it. The two panels of sheet metal are spaced too far apart at the back of the cab with the inside radius rounded much more that the outside of the cab. One cut with my jig saw got the sheet metal and headliner together. Drop the sun roof in with caulking around the frame and clamp it in tight by screwing on the trim frame inside. I spent as much time installing it as I spent roughing-up the extra glass and painting it."

Miesk5,

I have the headliner already cut and ready to put in. The problem is that I dont have the trim to hold the headliner in place.

yo e,

I understand; I wasn't clear on matching the size of your sunroof with those of the Major manufacturer's units; if same, the headliner trim should fit.

Check out the CRL Sunroof Trim Rings; I assume those are for the headliner to hold the headliner in place

http://www.crlaurence.com/crlapps/showline/default.aspx?GroupID=7347&History=30587:21809:21810:21809:21812&pom=0

CRL Replacement Interior Trim Rings for 17 x 17 Sunroofs

CRL Replacement Interior Trim Rings for AutoPort Sunroofs

CRL Replacement Interior Trim Rings for NewPort Sunroofs

CRL/SFC Genesis Sunroofs Pre-Trim Rings

Call them, because they say;

"CRL Sunroof Replacement Parts fit the most popular sunroofs we sell now, plus some older models our customer's request for replacements. All replacement parts are built to the same tolerances the original glass part had and you will get a perfect fit."

GL!
