4x4 issues

Ok i just got a 82 bronco with the 302 in it. took it out to my hunting camp and found out the hard way that the 4x4 isnt working. After i got it out from being stuck i took it back to the camp and i put it in park, locked the hubs and put the truck in 2WH and i could still spin the front drive shaft witht he hubs being locked.... im a newb but i dont think it should be able to do this witht he hubs locked right?

Correct. At least one of the hubs is broken, Change to either Warn premium (lifetime warentee) or Mile marker hubs both are great.

that is what i figured because the pass. side doesnt feel like the hub is locking when i turn it so i just wanted to make sure. thanks for the advise
