I have a 351m from a friend of mine, out of a 77 f-250. It only has 50 miles on it (long enough for him to drive it from the lot home) before he pulled it out in place of a 400m. It's a complete engine, save for the heads. My question here is, is it worth rebuilding a 351m and dropping it in, or should I wait it out and try to find a 351w? I know the 78-79 Bronco's came with 351m's, but I don't know too much about them and issues they might have.

I believe If I understood the last 351 discussion that an "M" is a reworked ( badly ) "Clevland" . And the "Windsor" is a different animal all together. I'm not sure of specific problems. There is a welth of info on pages 2-4 about the different 351s. I dont know how to link you to the specific posts or I would. Just scroll back and look for the 351 topics. JSM84 and BLADE26 have indepth knowledge of these engines. Hope this helps.

Sorry correct page #s would be 2 thru 8, Man has it really been that long!!!!!!!!!!!!!
