302 hiccup

I just rebuilt the 302 in my 96 Bronco and it has a Hiccup .. or a miss . it is NOT consistent .. just every once in a while sometimes … this morning probably 8 times in 10 min .. before the rebuild … i replaced the injectors .. spark plugs, .. since it is not consistent i would think it’s electrical… anyone experience these issues?

Those can be hard to find. Does it still do it after it is warmed up?

Is it like wet and humid in the morning when you fire it up?

Could also be mechanical, like fuel pump not caught up with full pressure yet or a lifter still building pressure.

Probably gonna have to run it more to make it easier to find.

what should definitely affect it when it rains as much much worse, he could go sometimes without a hiccup for a day and then all of a sudden one hiccup and then made that so bad but then it could be a whole bunch of particular it’s wet

You did plugs and injectors, did you change plug wires by chance? Intermittent misfire in wet/humid sounds a lot like a plug wire leak.

Ditto here, gonna say. Where I live, rainy humid morning problems, the first thing we do is cap, rotor, wires.

Don't know if it is the same issue or not but I too had a little surge or drop in tach on my 96, 351. Narrowed the problem down to the MAF sensor, with the help of a friend who knew how to eliminate what it wasn't. It's an inexpensive part and easy to change.
