I'm really looking into purchasing i Bronco. I have wanted one ever since i was a little kid and have finally decided now is the time to purchase one. A friends of mines brother is selling one but is wanting to sell it for $4500....he said he didn't think he would get that and wants me to make an offer....It's i 1989 ford Bronco XLT with a 5.8 liter V8 he said the engine only has 40000 miles on in, but the odometer reads around 5000 making it seem as if it has rolled over. The body is in very good shape with Few chips or blemishes in the paint. The window in the back doesn't roll up or down and the front driverside window is missing. The interior is in good shape except for a small tear in the driverside seat. The top has a small leak in it and it doesn't have a rack in the back for a spare tire. The air works, it has a decent radio, and the engine runs well. I love broncos and really want one but i don't want to rush into it and ***** myself. Any information or tips you could give me would be greatly appreciated...i also have some pics i can post if that would help.

With windows out and a non working rear window and seat wear, in this area I would say $2500-3000 max. Unless it has a bunch of nice parts like Tires/battery(s) that are new and/or over sized and good brand. Nice rims, lifted, fancy mods on the exhaust gearing etc.

I got my 1994 xlt which was stock save for Flowmaster duals and a K&N kit with great interior and all windows intact & tinted (even the windshield) and working motors. It also has fairly fresh BF Goodrich 32x11.50's for $4000 and it was not an exceptional deal in this market.

I suggest looking on Craigslist in the cities near you to see actual asking prices around. You can use their search engine to narrow it down. Or use Google and try a search like this: Bronco Craigslist

Your local cities might give you the best picture. If you live somewhere like California where any car that will pass inspection goes for a premium your deal might be great.
