Your starter is on the bottom of the engine and on the passenger side, could you have ripped off some wires?

Is it still in the mud?

Does it crank? What happens when you turn the key?

Did you check to see if you got mud and water inside the distributor cap?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime? If not, maybe the fuel inertia switch tripped.

Give us some info to work with and someone will help you down the right path.

So.. when you turn the key, you hear the fuel pump prime, you hear the starter engage and turn the engine over, but she doesn't start.

You already checked inside your cap and it is clean and dry, right?

You should also check your air filter.

You may want to check the spark wires on the passenger bank to make sure they are not caked up with wet mud and are arching to the block, or else where.

Next thing, I would do is pull diagnostic troubleshooting codes.

If you don't know how, I can link you up to directions/instructions.

you said left bank joe, is it a V8 or the all mighty straight 6? :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

When you say you sunk it, how far did you sink it? above the hood?

When you said it wont turn over, you mean its not cranking or it cranks but doesnt start?

First thing i would do if you even suspect you have water in your motor is pull all the plugs and try cranking it.

Wow! Good point!

I didn't think it was hydrolocked because he said that he turned the key off, but when stuff goes bad, one does not always recall exactly the chain of events.

Regarding... 6 or 8 cyl?... I'm guessing it is one or the other, and if it is an 8 then half of the wires will be on one side or the other. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> If it is a six, all of the wires will be on one side, but I don't know which one. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

CAN'T GET ANY SPARK AT ALL.
Where is your coil located? If you had water over the hood, it's possible the coil was soaked as well. This would definitely cause the problem you're having. Check to see if your battery is providing power to your coil, and then check if your coil has any power coming out of it. This should be a pretty easy way to figure out why you don't have any spark.
