I'm ready to finally paint my '68 Bronco, but I'm not sure about the "proper" paint colors. My Bronco is light blue with off-white roof and dash. What are the correct colors (paint codes/names; etc.)? Also, the grill is painted the same as the body color, but I see many pictures with either a white or silver grill. This is a Sport package so what would have been original? And anything else I may not have thought to ask. Thanks for your help.

What does your VIN tag in the glove box say the color code is? For the light blue it should be something like E or F for a shade of "Light Blue" or B for "Turquoise" or D for "Med Turquoise". The white will be wimbledon white. You can check Sherwin Williams auto colors and they should go all the way back to that color chart.

My 72 Sport originally had the grill a silver/pewter color, but when I repainted it I went with pure white.

Another thought.....

If you absolutely want the orig. color...it helps to look at the firewall, inside kick-panels, door jams, up under the bedrails, etc. to see if the color has been changed.

i.e. if the grill matches the body....that sounds like a re-paint.

And, the glove box door tag is a good source ..if someone hasn't replaced it.
