Quick question about Oil

Is it ok to use Synthetic 10W-30 oil all season(winter thru summer)? Or would I need to use 10W-40 as the weather changes?

yeah but i wouldnt run ne thicker though... i have actually seen where thick oil in the winter kills 4 to 5 of your horsepower , lookin at dyno sheets in 4wheeler magazine ... but its youre call

I just use 10w-30 year round with no problem, but then again I live in Vegas and it doesn't get cold here.

I'd think that it would kind of depend on what kind of winter you have... We don't get too terribly cold here in Louisiana very often...

For the record, I use Mobil 10-40 year round. I use it in everything, not just the Bronco. The only things around here that don't get that is the wife's Camry and the Briggs&Stratton on my little riding mower. Wife uses Havoline 10-40 in hers. Riding mower gets 30HD.

I live in Missouri and it gets pretty cold here in winter.The synthetic 10w30 has no problems adjusting to this.I use Valvoline syn.10w30 and it has always performed flawlessly year round.....even in xtreme conditions.

i use mobil one 10/30 in my uh....... chevy pick up..... year round. 178,000 miles later she still purrs. and it does get cold here.
