93 EGR valve

i have a 93 bronco 5.0 EFI, and i was wondering if you can clean an EGR valve; and if your can, can someone explain how to do this?

You can clean the screen thats either in or behind the EGR.Ive never done it,but know of several people who have.

Remove it, you will see a hole that has a rather large amount of carbon build up. Try and clean that out the best you can. Use brake clean or carb cleaner
